A lot has happened since my last posting, 2 job changes, a major bout of depression followed by a long and steep decline in the quality of my life. To be honest my faith hasn't just taken a blow, it has taken a real battering (Understatement of the year!) Since my last posting life did improve for a little while, and I do mean 'a little while'. Now... It is just rubbish (and no, it isn't the depression colouring my judgement), I no longer pray as I see little point, if the Gods aren't listening there is little point in me opening my mouth in the first place. One question I keep asking myself is which one of them have I p*ss*d off? Or is it just all of them? Nothing else in the world could be responsible for the grief I am having at the moment, if the Gods really care then why am I going through this? What did I do that was so bad that all this crap just fills my life? If anybody out there has a hotline to the Gods then perhaps they can tell me, no good me asking, they obviously aren't talking to me these days... But I'll try to understand what you write. I understand that you faced difficulties in your life. You're not alone in experiencing this type of problem. I do not have the number of the hotline of the gods. Sorry. I lived difficult moments too, during two years. I repeated every evening, when I feel overwhelmed by worries: "Tomorrow is another day, another new opportunity to change my situation." The gods help us if we help ourselves. It is a teamwork. We should not expect everything from them, because they have already given us the way to live, since our birth. We just find what are its ways and how to use them. You have in you the strength and the solutions to live an happier life. Believe in yourself and do not lose the hope. You know, I have had that experience of feeling that though I pray no one is listening..or if listening they do not care. And while it can depression when that happens it sometimes is not depression at all! There are two possibilities-- they are trying to communicate but something is blocking your recognizing the response OR They just are not communicating with you at this time. And if it is the later, there is nothing anyone can say to make the experience better. It is the "dark night of the soul" as it is called in Christianity. It happens and is very very real.
