Em hotep friends *bow*
As you may already know, the ancients had three seasons - Akhet, Peret, and Shomu. Akhet is the season of emergence, Peret is the season of growth, and Shomu is the season of harvest.
Inundation has passed us, and as the waters recede, we the priesthood have taken a look around our online home and realized that while the waters carry much away, they also deposit much in the way of growth-encouraging nutrients.
They do not, however, clean house for us. We have to do that on our own.
With the ghosts of so many dead threads and ancient conversations, it's no wonder we speak here on the forums in hushed tones, for fear of disturbing that which is at rest.
And with the advent of more creative spamming technologies, we find our internet home inundated with the sludge of the isfet of the internet--spam.
It's come to our attention--both spiritually and practically--that our forums could use a serious overhaul.
Peret is the time of growth, and we can't do that if we fight the change that growth brings. So consider this the official announcement that changes are coming to the Per Ankh and KOL forums. These changes are looking like a complete board overhaul, which will make the forums in their current state unavailable after a certain date (which is still up in the air, but we're hoping to make the switch during the University holiday break, so that the Revs aren't trying to teach as well as play tech support).
Consider this the first official announcement that these forums are going offline. Great changes are in the air at the temple, and we're excited about them! We hope you will be, too. Please feel free to post or PM me if you have any questions!

UPDATE on the Housecleaning:
Em hotep gang! *bow*
We are still working on revamping the forums and the Per Ankh website. We're currently beta-testing the new forums and trying to get used to doing things a bit differently (actually, playing with nifty new toys, LOL!). We are in the planning stages of building and growing the temple, and plotting very carefully as to the direction we'd like to go in the future. Our main focus will of course always be to honor the Netjeru and to Let Ma'at Ascend...but there are always choices as to the ways we may "be the Ma'at we wish to see," so to speak.
Of course, we can't do that without you, the temple members. I'm opening a thread in the Suggestions forum ( here ) to solicit your feedback for what you'd like to see in the Temple in the future.
Senebty,
Wabet Jen
Edited to add the link to the Suggestions '07 thread

I just came back after some time of not having the time/resources to be involved here and I was wondering where all of the people were. Thank goodness I found this post and that the lack of activity is just due to revamping and such.

Glad to meet/re-meet you, TygerSiren. And great to see you again, too, Nebra.
I've been cracking the whip over Rev Renee to do her web magick and make the new site magically produce content. There are reams and reams of stuff we have to move from one format to another. It's a daunting task, but we're making progress. Think of us in your daily rites--we could use the energy!
