The bottom line for the rest of us is--we are back! Thank you for hanging in there. We have received a bunch of applications for both Kemet OnLine and Per Ankh. We also may well also not have received some applications sent. By Monday we will have all applications we have respnded to all those waiting during the technical transition. Please wait until Tuesday to check with us on your application. While things are prettu much back to normal there may still be a few times when the server will be restarted for new upgrades. These should be a matter of minutes. However if you send email during those minutes you may get frustrated. Waiting till Tuesday will ensure your letters get through. For those kemetic techies who would like the details of what happened I will explain in another post. To move to Falcon means changing the ip address to which our nameserver point. The day of the move was the day Godaddy launched this new system. The system had bugs. Days were spent online and phone trying to figure out the problem. During that time tech support instructed various dns changes. The result was a mess. Godaddy finally put the old system back. We made the changes required. Everything looked good. They forgot to inform us that in order for this to work we needed to resubmit the information again after they put back the new system. Finally it looked like we were about to be back:) The new spiffy Fast Falcon had a hard drive crash. This is no one' fault our current ISP is great. They moved quickly to get everyone restored. Unfortunately three days of posts many on these public boards were lot:( Due to this we will put RAID1 on teh server so in the future in the event of a hard drive crash all data will be safe. From our end the worst was not knowing what was happening ourselves and so not being able to tell you. Well, it is over PHEW! There will be a few installations of things like Raid which will require the server be restarted over the next few days. These should be brief and taken as sign of good things:) Welcome back and thank you for your patience.
