Renee, will it be a problem that I will be out for around a week at the end of June? I really can't change it (World Archaeological Congress: I'm presenting, can't skip out).
I'm worried I'll miss stuff!!

Hotep Panthera,
It won't be a problem at all. LOL. Our classes are designed so that they run about 4 months (avg), so you'll know ahead of time what the lessons are like, and we ALWAYS make allowances for people in your situation. :-D

Hooray!
Thats great. I know I won't have access while I'm out there, but at least I know I won't be "graded down". heh.
Maybe I'll get to catch up with some Egyptian archaeologists out there? I haven't gone through all the abstracts yet to see who's coming.
I'm looking forward to the class. Huzzah!

I plan on joining although am getting second thoughts. Will you and Jade will be available for most of the class? I read the Jade is in the mist of moving.

Em hotep ! <bow>
Yes... Rev Jade and I are both really pushed at the moment.. We won't start the next round until we CAN do most of it.
We are less available than usual at the moment *pout* But as Rev Jade settles into her knew temple and home and as I settle into my new position ....things will get better again.
In the long run ...we just need a few priests in training to get trained up and do the class.
Of course Rev Jade and I will always teach some of the classes and get to know new members personally.
I do believe we are getting near a point though where a few Priests in Training may be able to take the new members classes on (well and maybe get rid of the last two words in their title ;-))
It is hard because we are Sooo young and yet growing waay faster than we would have expected ..
And we push ourselves a lot...You might notice that as the New members class is set up there is a LOT of work for the teachers! lol. And for the students as well. So please don;t worry that we would npot have Rev Jade and I present for classes.... We have really heard those of you (I think you were one of them , I know Nebra was) who expressed concern about the two of us not being accessible as we grow. That is just not likely. It is not our style. However others who have been trained will play much greater roles.
Infact this wil free us up to be MORE present in in terms of conversations and teaching and such.
So..as I said to Nebra...no worries.
Blessings Rev Renee

You know, I think I've noticed this, too. There really does seem to be a marked increase in the number of people interested in Kemetic beliefs. At least, that's what it seems like on a couple other boards I frequent. And it's not just that they want to incorporate the Kemetic Names into their (mostly Wiccan) practices. They really do seem to want to be Kemetic. Not that I'm complaining or anything. I was just curious, in the grand scheme of things, why more people now are feeling called to this recently than, say, a year and a half ago. Is it really because of 9/11 stuff war stuff?
